Interview by Kamila Burzymowska, Xtreme Inks

Introduction
Meet Korsak, a rising star in the tattoo industry whose journey began with a homemade tattoo machine at just 14 years old. Now armed with professional equipment and boundless creativity, Korsak is making his mark on the world of tattooing. In this exclusive interview, we dive into his story, his inspirations, and his goals for the future.
How did your journey in tattooing begin?
Korsak: When I was 14, I tried tattooing myself with a homemade machine I bought from some older students. Naturally, I ruined my entire arm and put the idea aside for a long time. But the feeling of holding the machine stayed with me. Twelve years later, I bought my first professional equipment and began my creative journey.
What do you love most about tattooing?
Korsak: It’s the emotions I can give to people. A tattoo isn’t just ink on skin—it’s a story, a moment, or a feeling captured forever.
How did you connect with Xtreme Inks?
Korsak: I owe that to Alex and Kamila. They gave me the opportunity to become part of a big team, and I’m so grateful for it.
What does the future look like for you?
Korsak: I’m just starting out, but I aim to grow in the tattoo industry and leave my mark. I have several goals I want to achieve, but I can’t talk about them just yet. Let’s just say I’m excited for what’s ahead.
Beyond tattooing, is there any other art form that fascinates you?
Korsak: Recently, I’ve started drawing more to make my tattoos more painterly and artistic. It’s been a great way to explore new techniques and ideas.
Speaking of tattoos, which three colors from Xtreme Inks can you not imagine working without?
Korsak: That’s easy—Avocado Light, Avocado, and Dark Avocado. They’re my go-to colors for creating depth and vibrancy.
What’s a tattoo you’ve done that will stay in your memory the longest?
Korsak: My first tattoo on my first client. It was a small emblem on their neck. It was tiny, but it took me several hours because my hands were shaking from nerves. I’ll never forget that feeling.
What do you appreciate most about your work as a tattoo artist?
Korsak: Again, it’s the emotions I can give people. Seeing their reactions, whether it’s excitement, joy, or even tears, makes it all worth it.
Who are the top three artists that have influenced your work?
Korsak: My friend and colleague Alex Zakharov has been a huge influence. But honestly, all the tattoo artists I know contribute to my growth.
What motivates your creativity?
Korsak: Competition. It’s always interesting to compete with other tattoo artists in ideas, projects, and quality. It pushes me to keep improving.
That’s great advice for anyone in a creative field. Speaking of advice, what would you tell someone just starting out in tattooing?
Korsak: Stay true to yourself and hold the machine confidently.
Kamila Burzymowska: Powerful words. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Korsak. We’re excited to see how your career unfolds.
Dmitry Korsak: Thank you, Kamila.
