A Journey from the Streets to the Studio
Piotr's artistic journey began in the early '90s amidst the dynamic graffiti scene. Encouraged by friends who recognized his talent with spray cans, he transitioned from painting walls to inking skin. Picking up a tattoo machine felt like a natural progression, and it wasn't long before clients began to appreciate and seek out his unique style.
How did you start tattooing?
"Around the '90s, I was into graffiti, and some of my friends suggested I know my way around it. Why shouldn't I do something more with it? I grabbed a tattoo gun, and it turned out people enjoy what I create—that's how it all began." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
The Fusion of Graffiti and Tattoo Art
What do you love about it?
"Tattooing gives me a chance to sneak my 3D graffiti letters onto clients' skin while creating tattoo compositions. This is what gives me the greatest satisfaction in my work, and that's exactly what I love about it." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
How did you get connected with Xtreme Inks?
"The prize from a tattoo convention included dye samples from Xtreme. I tried it once and really liked their consistency and colors. Over time, I was noticed by the brand, which resulted in our collab." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
Achievements and Recognition
What tattoo will stay in your memory the longest?
"In 2013, I did my first tattoo that took into account my style and brought it to the Cracow convention. Toffi, a tattoo artist, called it a great job after taking a look at it. We displayed it, and it earned us a 3rd place in the color category—that's my first award at a convention and also the first prize I've got for an original tattoo instead of a standard realism one." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
What’s the future look like for you?
"My future will definitely hold more tattoo conventions. I also plan to continue to improve my style. I want to travel to international conventions and hope that my work will be positively received. I also don't intend to stop painting graffiti." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
One of his dreams is to create a full-body suit tattoo entirely in his graffiti style.
"Creating a body suit—I would love to tattoo someone's whole body in my graffiti style, and it's my still unfulfilled dream. I make a lot of large-format tattoos, but I haven't had the opportunity to make any like this, and I would really like to do it." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
Inspiration and Daily Life
Piotr draws inspiration from fellow artists like Sergei Butenko for his technique, Mashkov for his style, and Valentina Riabova for her tattoo experiments. Working daily with the Aerograffiti Ink crew, he values the collaborative environment that fosters creativity and growth.
What motivates you to be creative?
"Working every day with the whole Aerograffiti Ink crew." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Artists
What advice about tattooing and dealing with clients would you give to someone who is just starting out?
"First of all, choose a specific direction of tattooing, a specific style in which you will feel the most satisfied. Keep improving it and try to skillfully present it to all of the future clients." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
A Palette of Vibrancy
Known for his preference for bold colors, Piotr often works with cyan, magenta, and yellow—hues that reflect the vibrant spirit of graffiti art. These colors not only make his work stand out but also resonate with clients who share his passion for dynamic and expressive designs
Which 3 colours can you not imagine tattooing without?
"Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow." — Piotr "Aerograffiti"
